DVD-cops is based on the well-known and very reliable CD-Cops technology - one of the most secure protection systems in the world.
Read here about the different versions of DVD-COPS.
The software that checks the DVD is protected by Link's Code Security which has been in use since 1984 and is known throughout the world as being virtually unbreakable.

DVD-Cops was finished in mid-1998, and the first protected DVD title was produced in October, 1998. It has been constantly updated to the fast growing DVD market. With the exploding sales of DVD burners, companies are more aware that their often high-priced DVD products are being copied. DVD-Cops stops this.

Simple procedure:
Apply the protection directly to your finished EXE file. Add the protected application to your DVD image, and send your data to the DVD factory as usual.
When your DVDs are finished, an access code which uniquely identifies your DVD is extracted. This code is then included with the DVD when sold and can be silk-screened onto the DVD itself.
During installation, the user enters the access code. From then on, the software runs only when an original DVD is present in the drive. Please read the CD-Cops description for a further introduction to CD-Cops/DVD-Cops functionality.
DVD-Cops has been used by one of Germany's largest publishers of digital encyclopedia,
F. A. Brockhaus, on their best-selling
Brockhaus Multimedial for many years.
