This section provides information on the various protection products offered by Link Data Security. They are divided into categories, depending on the target operating system and distribution method.
There are various ways of protecting an application - some protections offer media independance, whereas others require that an original diskette or CD/DVD be present. Some protections are automatically removed after successful installation of an application. Others need an access code to be entered, for example, once every 3 months.
Protection for program files (COM/EXE files) is applied directly to the main executable or in some cases only to the installation program. If you want to protect data files used by generic applications, you must also use one of the products from the "Data Protection" section below.

Cops Crypto is used to protect data files. The Crypto loader is then protected according to the table above. Without start of the Crypto loader, the generic application cannot use the encrypted data. Below you can find the appropriate version of Crypto.
