PDF-Cops

PDF-Cops is a special version of Cops Crypto for safe distribution of encrypted PDF files without the need for modifications to the Acrobat Reader (the standard browser used to view PDF files). You carry out the PDF security encryption in-house using a standard utility supplied by Link Data with the Crypto package.

The Acrobat Reader is monitored while running, and the PDF files are decrypted on the fly in memory.

This advanced technique works on any Windows 32-bit platform: 9X, Me, NT, WIN2K/2k3, XP(64) and Vista(64).

The PDF protected data files are encrypted using a powerful, proprietary algorithm and locked to the CD using our well-known CD-Cops technology, or to the end-user's machine using our WebCops internet security.

Any reputable CD-ROM factory can make the CD-ROMs without the use of special equipment. The finished CD-ROMs cannot be copied, and the databases themselves cannot be pirated.

It is also possible to use CDR-cops, DVD-Cops or WebCops to suit the desired distribution media.

You can open groups of documents for a specified period of time through the use of access codes. New groups can be enabled using additional codes later on.
